When I try and run the setup from the BTD_ASS_100S_UK.exe file it says my computer can’t run it and closes itself.  Any suggestions?

Ok so I’ve done the KCAP extraction but when I point the driver update to the MS folder it seems to install but says that there’s a problem with the install and device manager says that there are no drivers installed…

I’m still struggling to get any drivers to actually work with the bluetooth :(

Any suggestions?

Well I’ve just tried the drivers that Drachen sent to me and still get the same error.  Maybe my card is slightly different/newer model :?

Yeah but I never liked it on my desktop so I disabled it on here, although it was after SP2 had jumped in.  Could it be that which has messed it up first?  :shock:

What do you mean disabled it? You mean you uninstall SP2 on the TR?

well I knew that there had to be a way to do it as I don’t like the sp2 bluetooth software etc
I followed this page http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;840635 to disable it.  *wonders how much he’s messed things up :shock: *

Well I’ve just reformatted my TR as it was well overdue (and I’ve got revision to do :oops: ).  I disabled the windows bluetooth before it could install and have tried the driver sets I downloaded but they still come up with the same issues as before.  Hmmm perhaps I have a newer bluetooth module :?

What VID/PID does your module have?
Start Menu\Programs\Accessories\System Tools\System Information
Components -> USB
Shows that mine hass VID=0x44e and PID=0x3003, anything else probably cause trouble.

Anyway, BlueSpace and MS has very limited bluetooth stacks.
Try widcomm or bluesoleil, both will give maximum functionality for your bluetooth module.

Where would one fine Widcomm or BlueSoliel?  I have tried and can’t find them.

Well I don’t think it’s a Bluespace problem more a problem of not having the right drivers for the module.

Device manager now shows ‘UGX’ under the bluetooth section, but still no luck in finding drivers…

Hi! all, well it’s seem that i screw up big time, well
everything went well with the upgrade of Bluetooth and my WiFi
from B to B/G and after i put all the thing back in and boot up
the system, i notice that my HDD light was not working,
i was wonder was went wrong, everything is working fine, nothing
wrong, so i try take them apart again, and i notice something,
it about my cable, its the white cable that connect from mainboard to the touch pad / memory stick board.. , i notice that the siver thing on it was scratch.. and it seem to be disappear abit, so i check everything and all seem to connect fine, then i put them back in again, now this time my Bluetooth and Wifi is gone, i mean the light is gone and it was not ON either, but the switch is on..  now.. i got a bigger problem, i assume that it’s something to do with that White cable i was talking about, so i need help with finding that part number, so that i can replace them.. Thank you very much ..  (don’t make my mistake)
