That’s nice. I wonder if US customers will be able to order direct via SonyStyle during the first week of its release.

I stopped by the store today to purchase Wadham’s games and I said to the clerk that I was upset I purchased my PSP from his store since the other stores in the area were going to open at 12:01AM on Thursday and I had to wait until 9:00AM to get it from his store. That’s 9 hours of quality play that I can never get back.

Of course I was kidding…we had a good laugh, but then he said, you know what, let me call the other pre-orders. If enough people say they will show up, I’ll open the store. Sure enough, I got a call about 2 hours later…we are opening at 12:01AM Thursday morning if you want to pick up your PSP early. Woo Hoo!

For those in the UK

It seems to ship 3 PSP titles it will cost $12 with no insurance. With $100
insurance, $23.

Anything below is the same price (it goes by weight) 4 bumps it to $14 and
$27.

I didn’t do more then 4 because I only have 4 on me at the time. Besides that, it’s the game price, $39.99 or $49.99 + tax + paypal fees.

When you post them do you mark them as ‘Gift’?
Im only asking cos if you order anything from abroad with a greater value then 18 pounds around $34 we have to pay 17.5% VAT.
I found out the hard way after my C1MSX was delivered. lol

Not only that, but I am personally opening all games, so they will be ‘used’ not ‘new’. (I know sealed items set off red Tax flags) I’ll mark them however you want with whatever value you want…insured or not, your choice. I am just not responsible if something happens, it’s out of my control.

Yep. Tomorrow morning…early….will get to unpack it…praying for no dead pixels and other problems.

haha, I learned my lesson with the PS2…I waited on line from starting around 2-3am until CompUSA opened…it wasn’t worth the wait…Pre-Orders are the way to go. T-8 hours till I pick mine up.

PSP making news…

You’ll probably have to wait until tomorrow to get your mitts on one, but we know at least one person who managed to get his PlayStation Portable: the guy who swiped 12 PSP Value Packs from a GameStop outside of Charlotte, North Carolina yesterday evening. He just walked in, grabbed an even dozen out of the back storage room, and then walked out, brushing past a clerk who tried to stop him as he headed out the door.

And if your pre-ordered from PC Connection…woops…

Reader F. Zilla wrote to relay the information he’d received from a PC Connection representative regarding his PSP pre-order: “I regret to inform you that the ETA for the Playstation PSP has been pushed back to May 1.” A call to customer service confirmed the same, and it seems the reason being that PC Connection is “not high on the priority list” in the supply chain from Sony — or for game consoles in general, for that matter. So unfortunately, those who’ve already placed pre-orders for the unit from PC Connection are either going to be SOL until May or be on the phone trying to get a refund, and everyone else ought to obviously look elsewhere if you’re hoping to pick one up.

Also…is anyone going to the release party in NY at SonyStyle tonight? I’d be there but I’m 900 miles away :cry:

I’m reasonably close to the San Francisco event… but… waiting in line for 12 hours in the rain is kind of bleh.  I’d definitely check out the NY party if I lived East Coast though… what with Danger Mouse being present.  Just reserved two units at a Gamestop and called it a day .
