Take a look at the pins on the ethernet port of your TR. There should be 8 pins. If any is broken or some such similar thing you notice that could be the problem. Additionally, check the pins on the ethernet port of the other device (router or computer). If that too doesn’t help look into buying a PCMCIA ethernet card.
For the camera, as I said it’s most likely that the CCD has burnt out and the only solution would be replacing it. If your TR is under warranty, contact Sony for repairs. They can check the ethernet port too!
