[quote author=“Anonymous”]ahh dothan stupid me, was typing in Centrino all this time.
yeah I couldnt remember which site I posted that question on about the dual band antennas sorry about that. I know that the a/b/g card will work but all the reports on the people who have upgraded dont appear to actually use the A side of the wifi
everyone says they upgraded but have have only used the 2.4 ghz side
Keep in mind that Centrino is not a processor, but a marketing term for notebooks which use the Pent-M + 855 + ProWireless trifecta. There are a few Pent-M notebooks out there that don’t carry the Centrino badge because they use non-intel A/B/G wifi nics (Intel was kind of late to the market on those). (gr00vy, better remove that Centrino badge on your Netegriti-equipped TR before Intel catches wind )
As for A, well the general consensus is if you don’t already have A equipment, you probably never will. G has pretty much replaced it in the consumer sector (it didn’t really pick up much amongst early adopters) and pretty soon N will supersede it anyways.
