Well, as I’m now the proud owner of a new T1XP, I can compare both the TR and the T.
If you’re a designer type person, into fashion and looking good who always has to have matching colours etc then go for the TR - I use an apple keyboard, white sony earplugs and matching JBL creature speakers with my TR, which also matches my mp3 player etc etc. It also has serious wow factor in my local Starbucks…
Now I have the T to compare, I think the difference is mainly cosmetic. My T is a nice companion to my S series, as they match in style and design very closely. The T is much more subtle and ‘business like’, but still sports some clean curves and is very well made.
Performance wise they are very similar - one has the camera, the other has a dvd-rw. They weigh the same, though the T is only slightly thinner than the TR.
The TR has a green light on the adaptor plug, the T has a green light on the power button..hahah, thats really all there is to it!
There really is no reason why I should own both the TR and the T, which is why I put my TR up fpr sale a few days ago. I just like having the latest gear really…...
That’s about it!
