I have a VGP-PRS1 port replicator and I cannot seem to figure out how to use the printer port on it. I want to use it with my Neo Geo Pocket flash linker but I cannot get it to work. When I go into the system properties and then under Hardware Device Manager there is no LPT port shown. Are there some drivers I need, if so where can I get those drivers as I didn’t receive them with my unit. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks

I’ll have to investigate…I seriously haven’t used a parallel port in at least 2 or 3 years. I don’t even think I have any parallel port devices…

Lol that figures. I only have a few devices my self an NGPC Pocket Linker and now my ViperGC Flasher. If you happen across anything please let me know, I’de really appreciate it. Thanks for a great site by the way.

Why dont you try doing a comprehensive search on google for the same, your sure to get some results. Or probably visit some driver websites may be they have some drivers that might help.

Well I called Sony Support and they guy said that the connector between the computer and the dock is USB therefore the lpt port is a sort of usb to parallel adapter. He said unless I can route my software to use the usb then I cannot use it as a true lpt port. It seems retarded to me to sell a device the has a lpt port if it cant be used as such. So now the software I use for my devices is no longer good as there appears to be no way to choose a usb device instead.

Does anyone know of any software that can trick the pc into thinking it has an actual lpt port? Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
