feel like reformatting my TR2 cause there are too many useless programs. i heard from my friend that reformatting will decrease my hard disk space, is this true? is there any other side effects of reformatting my TR2? thanks.
i dont think so. i just reformatted my TR at the beginning of the year.it makes my TR fasts like new. i dont think there will be any bad side effect. but you need to have sometime to do it.
i used to format my desktop every 3 months.
thanks for the quick reply! the reason why i wanted to reformat is because my windows messenger keeps on getting connected in the back ground. i usually uses MSN messenger. even though i uncheck the box which says connect automactically, it still connects by itself. i went through the whole options, but still cannot solve the problem. i even uninstall windows messenger, but somehow i can still open the program. weird. this problem has been irritating me and my friends cause they are complaining that i do not reply to their messeages.
well a lot of the time there are two versions of messenger on your computer: Windows Messenger and MSN Messenger. You have to make sure they’re both not set to connect automatically…

guess i have totally removed windows messenger from my computer by going into ‘add or remove programs’ then ‘add/remove windows components’ then i uncheck the ‘windows messenger’ box. hopefully, my windows messenger will not connect again. thanks for all the help guys!

good thing you solved the problem; because even you format your computer, you will face the same problem again.
