I had assumed that there would be some built-in Sony Software that uses the Motion Eye, but I can’t find any.

I know that I can use MSN Messenger or say, Yahoo Messenger to use the camera as a webcam, but is there no Sony software that allows me to simply use it to snap up pics?

There should be a program called Network Smart Capture (this is a lame name). When you press the capture button on your TR, it should automatically load up the Network Smart Capture software.

If it’s not installed then put in your application CD in and install it. It’s not the greatest program but it works and is lots of fun.

Ah thanks!  I did have this installed, but due to the name, I never figured it had anything to do with the Motion Eye

Network smart capture installed. Before the camera driver was installed this prog botted and ran (looks nice too), but it said it couldn’t find the camera. I installed the camera driver - latest version and it seemed to work fine. Now the network app doesn’t boot. It hangs on the splash screen and never gets any further. Also the camera icon in my computer appears but if i click on it it says “initialising camera” and hangs there too??
Bit lost on this….?
