I have a Zippy USB keyboard here and everytime after I resume from hibernation the thing won’t work unless I replug it in the USB hub.  What gives?  My hub is a 4 port unpowered USB 1.1 mini hub.  Is that the problem?

Does it do the same thing if it’s plugged directly into the TR? You may have nailed the problem already if it works fine directly.

I will test in a bit, but say it does work when it’s plugged in directly.  The problem then is obviously the USB hub.  But what exactly is it about the hub that would cause such a problem? Would a powered hub work?

I was going to say that if you had an adapter, then giving the hub some juice would be helpful. Another thing to try would be plugging only the keyboard into the hub and then plugging the hub into the computer, if it works fine, then it is definitely a lack of power issue. For example, I had a USB2 hard drive and a bus-powered Canon scanner on an unpowered hub and they drew enough current that the other peripherals plugged in exhibited funky behavior.

Since the hub I have is pocket-sized, it doesn’t come with an adapter.  I’m going to pick up a powered USB 2.0 hub on ebay.  Thanksfor your help.
