Will frequent change between standard and extended battery cause any problem for TR to recongize the two different one?
I’ve seen from past article that it takes time for TR to recognize new battery.

Any advice?

Many years ago, I had a Sony with two batteries (both standard). When I swapped them, I noticed the reported charge level would be grossly inacurate. Then I read an article (maybe from this site???) that the circuits that decide what your remaining battery capacity is get increasingly inaccurate. The author recommended you discarge your battery to 30% once in a while.

It’s all a big mystery to me. I hope somebody here knows a lot about this and can inform us all.

I use a standard battery and the large capacity battery daily, switiching from one to the other. My tr5 has no problems at all recognizing which battery and its very accurate.

For me, changing batteries back and forth hasn’t caused any challenges at all.
