so how much time did it take to burn the dvdr and cdr at full speed eric?

They are offering a better version of the ddrw2 for the same price! I feel….a tiny bit cheated ? I also don’t understand that the prices are the same?ayways, just wanted to let you know this,

And just to make you feel better, I paid $599 for the earlier version of this drive PCGA-DVRW1 and the write speed was slower…

Maybe eric can tell us a little bit more about estimate times writing cdr/dvdr…...ofcourse if you have the time eric

I have yet to burn a “full” CD or DVD…I’ll try and do a specific one tonight and give you an idea of how long it took to make those, if that helps.

i’m excited about the PCGA-DDRW3. i think it is a must have for the x505.

Me too it is suppose to arrive today..  can’t wait..  :D

I have DVRW1 with SD-R6012 only burn DVD-R/RW at 1x.
I replaced it to SD-R6372 with specs here . Work great for me.

DDRW2 for $219.99 at here .
DDRW2 currently for $150 at here .

So Anh, you were able to swap the drives… I once opened up my older PCGA-DDRW1 and it looked like it would be easy to do the swap.
So were you able to work on a review of how to open X505 notebook?  :wink:
