Hi everybody,

I am looking for a thin and small backpack(no leather), able to fit the TR and the AC adaptor if needed, with one more pocket to fit some spare stuff as pda, wallet,  pen ... I mean typical working bag stuff.

Is there anybody who can advise a nice backpack that can fit my requirements ?

My favorite non-leather bags in the world are from the Timbuk2 line of messenger bags.  See   for a fun website, they have a bag for everything.  u an also color coordinate an entire set like i’ve done. i’ve smoke tested them, and they are really tough but watch for the shiny vinal printed surface designs, as they do wear down eventually, exspecially on the botton.  but aside from that, they are indestructable, unless u ARE a courier. I got a silver laptop slipcase for the tr that fits snug as a bug, and i just throw that into my large size messenger bag with all my other crap.  I even got the ipod case that fits tunes on my outfit while flying around on the royal enfield.  gets lots of stares! and like ive said, i’ve tested them in the himals with a tr inside in some pretty extreme weather - they are waterproof! but u pay for quality, as u will see on the site. i got lucky one year in the army and navy in boulder colorado and they were discounting an older model, 60% off! that was years ago and the bag still looks brand new. goodluck! :mrgreen:

Currently, I have a good messenger bag, it’s a crumpler, really good quality. I really do like it, but the problem is that now I am taking really crowded tube and I found the messenger bag not really suitable for this, it’s not easy to pass through people with the bag on a side.

For instance also, in the escalator, it’s more convinient to have a backpack than a messenger bag for the same reason as above.

By the way Jiggy, the bag you are talking about seems really nice, I can believe you for hard conditions testing :D .

j, timbukt2 makes a backpack too, check out the site, also they have more “business” like cases.  i own no stock in that company, i just like plugging a mfg that is still concerned with quality - how many of those are left?  Sony should follow that example.

I personally use an older style Tumi shoulder pack which works perfect for me, nice and small holds the laptop and a handful of accessories with it.  The version I have they dont currently sell anymore but flip through their line of Urban bags and youll find a good selection in my opinion.

I like the shoulder bags personally but some might find them too small.
