Leave memorystick in drive all time?

Is it good to leave the memorystick or Pcmcia card in the slot all the time. I afraid it might make the spring inside a drive getting weaker after a long time period.

I’ve been leaving memory sticking in my Clie 24/7 for the past year. I can still bullseye the girl in the next cube over with a flying MS of Doom manouver with it. (about 6 feet)

None of the Memory Stick slots in my Sony equipment have ever worn out, even after use over several years time. Something else will go before the Memory Stick slot does in my experience.

Then you are lucky. The MS holder in my N760C can’t really hold my MS for long. It will automatically spring out after a while. I have already replaced it twice with Sony. I have gave up.
