[quote author=“Juanito”]Dear all,
This is my first post here so… Happy New Year to you all.
Happy new year, too!
Im from Portugal, and in stores i saw, Vaio S1XP and it looked just what i wanted… but the price here is € 2.500, about USD $3.300.
So can anyone tell me another country, Usa, Taiwan, Germany or other with a much lower price for this model?
Not much difference here in Germany. The lowest price I can lookup (already below MSRP) is 2200€.
Another concern is that i’ve searched on google for T1XP and sometimes i found T150… are they the same? Is T1XP for european customers and T150 for US market? Can anyone explain me?
Yes, America and Europe have different model numbers for VAIOs. The series are the same (i.e. you have the S, T, TR, X series etc.) but the submodels are different and have different names.
Don’t worry, however: it seems that, for whatever reason, european and japanese markets always get the more feature packed models, sometimes or often even for a lower price.
Why Sony chose to have that policy is beyond me, I think american Sony customers have the right to get all features as well. But, of course, it’s not your problem
Another concern on buying in another country is that i need a Portuguese Keyboard… do Sony or other reseler sell it? What about warranty? Its international?
You can order another keyboard as a service part. Be sure to check the price first, however - I believe it can be quite expensive.
As for the warranty, I’m sorry, I don’t know.
Please help me get one of those…. lol
Of course. You’ll like it.
Hope to ear from you soon.
Unfortunately, I still have use for my ear myself, but I hope I could help you anyway.
Regards,
Julien
