Hi,
I am using XP-SP2 to set the power management for the Intel 2200bg wirless board. Using Device Manager->Network Adapter->2200BG one can find TWO advanced Taps! The first one to the left offers a Power Management setting which can be set from Power mode 1 (minimium) to poer mode 5 and in addition the so called power mode CAM! What’s is Power mode CAM? I can read (Maxi…...) in brakets but the rest is unclear!
Can anybody pleaser explain?

I have consulted Intel documentation but did not find a hint to CAM. Intel documents explain the setting coverd by the second “Advanced” tap in the device manager.

Hi everybody,

after some search at Intel site, I found the explanation. CAM is the “continually aware mode”. When the power management is set to this position, the PSP (Power Save Polling) feature is disabled.
I found that this setting greatly improves the stability of the wirless connection to my D-Link DI-642+ router. This might also help people with wirless connection problems (I read about in this forum).
