I just got my tr2a, and I hooked it up to my 17inch wide screen monitor.

It views on my monitor, but the view is fuzzy, and not cristal clear like if it was hooked up to a desktop.

Not my monitor’s navive resolution is 1280 by 768, and that’s what I have it set to, but it still appears somwhat fuzzy.

Please can anybody help, if this machine will not display on my monitor, then it’s going back.

how fuzzy is fuzzy?  I’ve got mine hooked up to a 17” too, and it’s crystal clear.

Lets put it this way. If I hook the monitor to my desktop, it’s beautifully clear. But if I switch it tot he Sony, the Letters appear fuzzy. It’s like you setting a LCD to a resolution different then it’s native. Everything becomes fuzzy, but readable.

Maybe it’s your monitor…that or the particular TR you have.

Are you mirroring the display or extending the display?

That sounds like a poor RAMDAC to me. Make sure the refresh rate is correct of course too and try the other things that people have suggested.

If it’s still bad get the laptop swapped out, it’s just a bad one from the sounds of it, everyone else seems to have a crystal clear display off their VGA out.

is it possible that there are some wrong with Refresh Rate in Display Setting?

I have connect my TR to a 42” plasma with 1280x768 and its crystal clear.
