To hell with it, I’m answering anyway.
GMail is an e-Mail provider. Conceived, created and hosted by no other than Google itself. Really a lot of people think that the launch or the pure existance of gmail is quite a noticeable event, after all, we’re talking about a search engine that even made its way into dictionaries as a verb - no kidding!
Wether it’s good or not is, of course, highly arguable. But besides that, Google Mail (or simply “gmail”) is invite only. Meaning: if you want an account, you have to be invited by someone else which has an account and some “invites” left.
Really, it would have taken you 10 seconds or even less to conclude to this answer yourself, without the hassle of writing your question and waiting for an answer. However, I hope my answer was helping you anyway.
