But how does putting the pagefile into the RAM drive make any sense?
The sole purpose of the pagefile (and thus the paging system) is to extend the available real memory with “virtual” on-disk memory.
NOT only to use up more memory than your machine has, but also to keep valuable RAM free for better uses like caching and buffering.
By putting the pagefile into the RAM drive, you essentially kill those two purposes. Extending your RAM by chopping it off, just to return it as virtual RAM inside of your real RAM is… well… you know
