Happy New Year everyone! It’s about the right time of year for an informal roundtable:

- What was the coolest pieces of tech you got your hands on this past year?
- What was the worst?
- Are you excited about anything new coming in ‘05?
- Favorite movie of ‘04?
- 3 favorite songs (or albums) of ‘04?
- Best/worst moment for you personally in ‘04?

Here’s mine:
- Since I bought my TR in ‘03, I’d have to nominate my P900, my SP3i and my Dell 2001FP.
- Worst was my hapless Linksys BEFW11S4 wireless router. Switched to a Netgear and not a single problem.
- I’m gonna get me one ‘o them dual-core Opterons. :drool:
- “The Incredibles”. Superheroes + Brad Bird + Nietzcshe =  8)
- “Memory” by Parallel Project, “Almost Violent (Psyche Mix)” by Rotersand, “Going Down” by The Azoic
- My biggest moment of ‘04 will technically be in ‘05. I’ve spent the past 3 months finding and buying an apartment. I’ll actually close in Jan. :|

1. Coolest tech - (Besides the x505) I would have to pick 2 from MaxiumPC’s best of 2k4 - Logitech Mx1000 and iPod 4G.
2. Worst Tech - OQO & Doom 3
3. Exicted about - Dual Core Procs.
4. Fav. Movie - EuroTrip
5. Fav. Album - Collision Course - Jay Z/Linkin Park
6. Best/Worst - happened within hours of each other…
Best - meeting Matthew Broderick again - this time he doesn’t remember me…so he didn’t run away.
Worst - GF father dying - Christmas Eve.

The coolest thing I’ve purchased all year is going to be a tie between my fairly new TR3 and my Apple iPod (40gb, 4th gen).  I haven’t even gotten the iPod yet from Apple, because I just ordered it a few days ago.  I’ve been ripping CDs into iTunes, and it is absolutely the coolest thing.

My favorite movie that came out in ‘04 was the LOTR ROTK DVD.

My best moment of the year was buying my new Subaru Forester 2.5XT Premium .  What an incredibly fast SUV with AWD.  :D

Coolest? Without a doubt, my TR3A.  Talk about revolutionizing my daily commute! At a petite 3 pounds too..

Worst? None really, haven’t purchased much

Excited? THE PSP THE PSP THE PSP *gasp* THE PSP..

Best Movie? Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow. I <3 flying things.

Best?  Getting on UCSD’s crew team
Worst? Having my grandfather die

Without a doubt, it’s been a good year, and cheers to next year!

Looking back I realize that a lot has happened to me in ‘04:

Best gadget:  TR3A (March) and Nokia 6230 (December)
Wort Gadget:  I can’t think of one that is worthy of mention.

Excited:  2005 Toyota Highlander Hybrid (270 HP and 40 MPG!!!!)

Movie:  I’ve really cut back on movies, but I would have to say Bourne Supremacy.

Music:  Although music can be very mood altering and inspirational, I have grown away from it.  Put it this way - my MP3 collection isn’t even 2GB.  :|

Best moment:  My second daughter was born (Feb) and we bought a new house (Dec)
