I’ve sent lorenco the bluetooth module ... and got an impressive “thank you” from him saying “you may be a bastard, but you are a honest one”...
i am retrofitting the Sony case with the guts from a usb2 case i found here for 34$ - i’ll miss the dual ilink/usb interface and the 110/240 capability but now i’ll have a small fan and digital audio out instead. The sony case is really nice and looked great on the desktop - these cheap enclosures look just that. i also have a door open switch issue, it’s on the side and not the front so using the sony case just makes sense. i’ll post a new pic soon. thanks to u all who made this possible!

It’s ugly, but it works. I’ve retrofited in a way that if i ever get another bridgeboard from Sony (Ha!) I can make the drive as good as new again. The guts hanging out the back cost 35$ and so far performs as well as the sony guts, sans Ieee support. Next revision, if there ever is one, i’ll hook the cover light to the internal drive light so i can have more blinking lights on my desk….
