daveLukeWalker,
no, the last time i saw a cisco router i was in a muck closet, sneaking a smoke, decade(s) ago while working for IBM and thinking of a good way to commit suicide instead of going back to my desk. i was studing the blinking lights on the banks of ciscos, i mean a wall of them, and having a little philosophy on how all these kazillions of electrons, 1s and Zeros, were all busy with tremedous activity while i was just sitting, burning a few, not doing much, and how all this activity was so unrelated to my world in one sense, but vital in another. It was a matrix visuallizing moment if you know what i mean.
no, no banks of blinking ciscos here in nepal, well, there may be one or two but so far behind closed doors i will never see them. and good riddence.
but you can run but not hide. even as far as Boudha Nepal, a world heritage site not for technology, but spirutality and strange cone shaped structures. where people study quantum physics but written thousands of years ago, and use terms like absolute reality instead of an Einstein thereom. Sheorodingers cat is safe here.
but i digress, no nepal is not untouched nor peaceful. there is a war going on here and people are being blown to bits, or otherwise inconvienced in one way or another. On every trail there is trash and plastic water bottles, and the air in kathmandu is toxic to your health, everyday. i’ve driven to work past huge heaps of rubbish being burned so peeps can keep warm (and to lower the rat population) as well as exploded taxi cabs still burning. but it’s home.
pictures of sorts can be seen from my website:

oh, about flashing this case - i tried putting in a harddrive, the one i took from the que case that is driving my sony burner now, and still nothing, that did not kick start anything but the thought, redo my place in archane tech retro style, like have flikering monitors hanging from the walls with saw blades coming out the sides and maybe a recreation of an IBM s360 as a bookshelf, with the blinking control panel at one end. I could get an old dekulator and make a bed out of it, hey what about a keypunch retrofited to be a bathroom sink? then my sonyjiggyburner would fit right in.
