I use Y’z Dock, which was legal when I downloaded it, but Apple put the hammer down on it, being to similar to Mac OSX’s dock..  IMO, ObjectDock is the best substitute, but gr00vy0ne likes Mobydock . Dock icons are easiest to find on WinCustomize .

TJMerwanji: Sorry, I no longer have the files on my system as I don’t use that theme anymore.

Drachen: Actually, I don’t use either dock anymore. I found that MobyDock though graphically slicker is unstable. I may go back to it later but for now it’s too unpredictable. ObjectDock is good but it too tends to become unstable after being up for a long time. It could be my system but I’ve noticed it on my other systems as well.

I can’t seem to get news updates for cnn or fox news on my desktop sidebar, do you have the same problem? it is asking me to redirect the site to a different address and I am not sure how to do it. Just wondered if you had the same problem.

Drachen,  DeadAim has very cool features such as transparency, I imagine that is what he was using.  The problem with DeadAim is it isn’t free and justifying its price is difficult when what it does seems so simple.  But I still suggest you give it a trial, it does have many cool features. 1

Does anyone know of a good floating calendar? 

Ive seen them on other desktops and I like it.  Ive taken a look at Samurize, but Id rather not have to fumble with scripting, unless im missing something.

I’ve never used it, but Rainlendar is pretty common on Neowin’s monthly desktop thread.

Desktop Sidebar with 12 news channels and media play open uses 32MB RAM and SMartBarXP uses 13MB. Both have between 2% and 0% CPU utilization at idle. I say it’s worth the seconds it takes off the battery.

I’ve been using this desktop for a while now.  Thought I’d post it before I change it to one of Drachen’s cool ones.
