Hey you guys,

i just found what may be a scoop….
I read an article on another about apple and their first mobile phone.

It has Motorolla components, but most certainly has Apple brandings on it.  They also said that the phone had a slot on the top (media slot?) as well as what looked to be a usb 2.0 port on the bottom.
Sounds and looks nice don t you think…
Did you guys have heard about it? Or maybe seen it?

Just looking at the style, that’s fake. It’s so dot-com era iMac. If there was a phone similar to the RAZR design (possibly colored like the iPod mini) I might believe it. I’m more interested to see how iTunes would work.

Yes. Or maybe just a clean design with a clean white, like the normal iPod or the current iPods.

 
the picture of the iPhone ad on top of the article is fake. the article just says why it’s logical for apple to bring out a mobile phone within the next 18 months

Either way, there is something going down with the Apple / Motorola (? i think) talks that happened a while back.  Hopefully we’ll be blown away, either that, or Apple’ll take one too many revolutionary steps and turn into IBM.  :?

They won’t turn into IBM as long as Jobs is at the helm. The man’s got his faults, but he knows how to make the company shine. Even their failures, like the G4 Cube were ahead of the curve.

He walks the fine line between ahead of its time and practicality.

A lot of times luck had something to do with it…but he is a brilliant man.

Maybe it’s nothing new going on. After all, Motorola has been making the CPUs for Apple for more than two decades now. The very first Mac (which was still called Macintosh) used a Motorola 68000 CPU. Even the infamous Apple Lisa had it.

You guys are funny.  I could care less about that apple phone.  Cell phones come and go so quickly.  ITs crazy.

I’ll go into the local cell phone stores and the change there whole line about every month….

THats insane….The very reason I won’t drop more than a bill on one.  I think they are well over priced.

I do think its very kewl that Erik can watch the Simpsons on his phone though…

And I am not bashing on the people that own these phones…It just makes me frusterated to see the technology change so quickly…

And then the no resale value is a real kick….

True, but have you seen Apple’s products over the years? Generally, they tend to be better made and better designed than most of their competitors, ie: M$, Dell, Samsung, and even, yes, Sony.  Granted, resale value might die, and it might be overpriced, but Apple Design tends to be long-lasting, if only for the kitsch factor.  Remember, people are still salivating over their Apple iMacs. Right?
