Ok I got it figured out. The uberdogs site was wrong about the keyboard screws; they are not hidden under the battery as this link says:

For those that just need to remove the keyboard, the answer is this:
1) Remove the two rear rubber feet carefully with a micro flat bladed screwdriver, and then unscrew the two phillips screws beneath them.
2) Underneath the battery there are two white plastic u shaped tabs surrounding a gray insert. Slightly push up on the gray insert with a micro flat bladed screwdriver, and then push the screwdriver inward to pop the keyboard out.
After getting the keyboard out I found the problem. The bottom of the keyboard is a thin metal sheet that was slightly tweaked ever so slightly so as to not seat perfectly flat. This caused play that acted like some of the keys on the lower left were sticking. I slightly re-tweaked the metal to get a firm seating for the keyboard. :D
