My hardware buttons and keyboard shortcuts have stopped working.

I have been busy uninstalling stuff before selling the TR1 as I now have a TR5. I cannot system restore and my volume control, capture button and all F key shortcuts have stopped. Any suggestions?

why don’t you use the recovery disc’s?

Doing a recover would accomplish two things:

1) It would make the system “factory-fresh” for the new owner
2) It would fairly well get rid of any data, settings, passwords, etc that you might have had on the system.

You need to tell us why you can’t do the recovery and maybe someone can help you.

You don’t need to do a full system restore (at least this works for my TR3A).  You should be able to insert the first recovery CD and it will present you with a list of things to reinstall, select the HotKey program (not sure of its exact name) and reinstall it.  Hopefully that will work for your TR5.

Thanks. I did not know that was the hotkey utility. I think I know what to do now.
