1. if there is a risk to “burn” the inputs of something inside the amplifier if you turn the volume on the laptop way too high…
It is possible but it depends on your amplifier. Some amplifiers have a cut off switch that shuts down the amplifier if the load is too high. I seriously doubt the TR’s built-in amplified headphone jack is powerful enough to cause any harm.
2. why the volume sometimes when i play the mp3’s via winamp get’s higher or lower without the sound bar being changed by me. It is strange so I was wondering if anyone of you out there has experienced anything similar.
This isn’t WinAMP’s fault. It means some of your MP3 files are encoded differently and have different peak volume levels. You’ll need to normalize the sound levels if you want them to sound the same. Of course, that’s a lot of work as you’ll need to re-encode your MP3s.
By the way.. are there any USB, bluetooth/wireless, RCA to Jack connectors from laptops to amplifiers? THat whould be a great gadget don’t u think ?
I don’t quite understand your question here. Are you asking if you can connect a laptop to an amplifier via the various connectors?
USB: Yes, via a USB sound adapter (either 1/8” jack or optical SPDIF)
Bluetooth/Wireless: BT, no. Wireless, yes. You can buy WiFi enabled media centers that stream audio from your PC to your home audio center.
RCA: Uh, yes. If you read this entire thread you would see that you can easily buy a 1/8” jack to RCA jack cable.
