[quote author=“Drachen”][quote author=“tifosiv122”]Lol, NY, gotta love it.
Trust me, i’d trade my 1,000sqft $650 a month place for a studio near 125th I miss the city
There is something incredible about it. I just did a quick check, and 2BR 1000 sqft places are going for about $2500/mo on the Upper West Side.
And people here still bitch about how much places cost…seriously, the other places I looked at were well below what i pay…some as low as $450 for 1,000…and not as bad as you would think.
This was the most expensive place I could find…it just also happened to be the nicest and to me it was dirt cheap.

 We have 2 luxury apartment complexes that have a few BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL apartments that almost cost $2500/mo 8) gotta love the “smaller” cities…
Btw I knew about Fight Club ... just didnt really understand what you meant… you mean now you loved them now hate them? <—Isnt that easier?

Nope…nor do I respect ‘larger’ cities either.
Until recently I have never been to Chicago or Detroit (I’ve been to LA though) and having now spent several days in each city, I can say without a doubt, there is nowhere in the world like NYC. I have no idea how people even begin to compare it to Chicago…Detroit is just run-down…I was always under the impression that all big cities would be somewhat like NYC, boy, was I wrong!
I miss NYC…10 days and I’ll be home! (For 10 days )

I’ve spent a week there… it was nice (much better than LA which aside from Little Tokyo and LAX i HATE to go into…) but NYC wasnt AMAZING… just nice (got to be on top of the WTC also wasnt amazing though ). Still like cities with 35,000-250,000 people.

Honestly….24/7 - there is always something going on…as long as you know where to look. Clubs/Bars/etc…It really doesn’t sleep…Chicago and Detroit take huge naps…called Sundays…

Not easier at all. It’s hard being understood in plain english when you think in metaphors and movie quotes.

You know, I lived in the NY area for 20 years and never got the chance to go to the observation deck on the WTC. The funny thing is that I’ve been in the Borders below the towers and Cortlandt St station many times…

I dont get why many people (Americans) think it is weird to have milk in your tea… I have ALWAYS had tea in mine and I’m Mexican :? ... instead of having flavored water… you get MILKY flavored water 8)
The old school way would be if someone asked you for a ‘cuppa’, they are asking you if you’d like a cup of tea.
Also, and i dont know if most of you have ever heard of this , since we are talking about tea, if someone says ‘shall i be mother’ or ‘let me be mother’ , they are offering to pour out the tea. :D
