hello I am looking to import a sony pcg TR2Ap3. I am living in the uk. My question is can I use the adaptor that comes with the unit here in the uk? Or do I need to get a replacement adaptor. Anyone with experiance I would like there input

I thought you could use these adaptors anywhere in the world as somehow they recognize the correct voltage ect….but I dont want to fry my brand new unit!

The adapter can take input voltages from 100-240V, so it should be okay. I’ve personally used the TR’s adapter overseas in Japan, and it worked fine. We have a few UK users on here that have imported, they can tell you for sure.

I’d like to add that you’ll also need a plug adapter that changes the 2-pronged US plug into the UK 3-pronged plug. These are cheap adapters so and very readily available.

Or you can buy a power cable with a figure 8 plug and plug it directly into the power adaptor.
