yeah, thats a good sell as well. I got the T from Chris, although I might give it to my mom, still undecided. I like the TR too much for what it is… sometimes I need to talk to clients via the webcam, which is not a major advantage, but who knows…

I picked up my TR2 last December from CompUSA for $1,900. I added the BT, 512, and DVD+-RW. Along with that I sold my BT Mouse and Keyboard, portable speakers, Mp3 Remote, Kensington Port Replicator, and leather case.

The items I sold with it I never really used, maybe once or twice each, if that. Mostly, I wanted them out of my way.

I knew I wouldn’t sell my TR unless I got close to $3k making the 505 nearly free…which is what I got. If the $3k did not come around, I would have kept my TR.

I needed the webcam when I was working, now that I am going to school I don’t need it…although I bought the USB one becuase I needed a Mic.

I just installed fedora core 3 on the T and i might keep the TR3… I always need some unix box around ... Still undecided. The X505 is out of the picture. Without a CDR I feel like I lost a leg… Keyboard Sux… Chris was right about the T… The keyboard is way better than the TR.

What is the speed difference beetween the T and the TR3? Is it noticeable?

did some heavy thinking, crypting/decrypting same difference. The cache makes huge difference. Office appz - NO DIFFERENCE.

What is the feasibility of a CPU upgrade? I want to buy a 1.7GHz Dothan and stick it in there somehow.

pretty low unless you fancy trying to take something out which is soldered to the motherboard :shock:
