So one of my friend’s daddy is visiting america for 2 weeks.. He wanted me to find out good deals for cameras in and around new york or california. Or decent web deals with rebate offers.

oh no, dont just assume a 7.1 mega pixel camera will be excellent. I made the same mistake when I bought mine…a minolta dimage f300 5 megapixel camera…the pics had too much noise in them so alongwith the the high megapixels also look for something that gives u less noisy photos…the canon eos 10d and 20d are excellent cameras…i would love to get the 20d when I have the money for it…it costs like $1500…so depending on your uncle’s needs ask him to look for an appropriate camera.

if you want a really good camera, go get the canon eos 20D, runs around 1400$ with the 18-55mm lenses (the kit)

if you want a point and shoot camera, so far I haven’t seen anything better for the size/price/quality than the Konica 500Z

They got bought out by Minolta, but you can still find the 500Z’s on ebay, the quality is amazing, got optical and digital zoom, takes SD and Memory Stick cards, up to 768MB of flash cards, 5.1 Megapixel.

You can get it for around 100$

Thanks. The thing is i dont know if he’ll be willing to spend 1400 $ on a camera , which probably falls into a professional category anyway. Hes just probably looking for a DSC T1 or something similar which satisfies both aspects, size and performance.
