I’m soooo happy that I got my TR2AP3!!!!!!! Now i’m trying to make a recovery CD. Then something just hit me!! after I make the recovery CD…. do I have to install windowXP again? or is it alreay in the system? When I got my TR from clearanceclub.com, I didn’t get a window XP pro CD… shouldn’t I get one? someone please help me with this!!!

The Sony TRs do not come with an original Windows XP CD. This is a standard practice among most system vendors. Microsoft basically forces the companies to do this.

Once you make the recovery CDs you just have to store them somewhere safe. They will restore your system exactly the way it was when you received it.

thank you for the explanation. But what’s the deal about the recovery partition? Is this mean after I crate my recovery CD, I delete the recovery partition? then how do you emerge C and D drive?

Oh also… After my recovery CD have been made… do I need to reinstall from the recovery CD again? from this, do I need the window XP CD to reinstall it again?

I bought my TR2 in Hong Kong…it came with a set of recovery CD’s and a WinXP Home CD. I guess it varies country to country.

uh oh… I kinda lift up while I was making the recovery CD… It was my last one, then suddeny I got a error message and they wanted me to redue everything again… (-.-) It was my last ONE!!!!! (T.T) Well I’m redueing it again but are they the same thing? I just need to do one more…

Yes, the recovery CDs contain the OS (which is preconfigured of course). It does have all of the files necessary for updates and stuff.
