I just ordered a new s270 about 5 minutes ago, but all I got was the 40gig, I want to purchase a 80gig 5400. I’m not to sure which one to purchase though, could you guys give me some insite on what you think is a good way to go with this? The one I have been looking at getting is this http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=22-152-503&depa=3 a samsung 80gig 5400 will this work with my new s270? I dont want to purchase one that wont work.

That drive will work just fine, it’s a standard 2.5” model and the installation shouldn’t be too hard. Congrats on the new purchase! 

Its a 5400 RPM, 80 gb model in the S1XP.

I ‘ve just placed an order on the S2VP (UK model, with 2GHz/1GB RAM/80 HDD/ATi 9700 64MB/DVD+-RW). I’m wondering is the HDD used in S2VP same as the one in S1XP (5400 rpm) or even faster?  :?:  I also can’t find any information of the HDD in this model apart from only stating its an Ultra ATA/100 HDD. Do you have any idea?  :?:
