You’ll need a neat little tool called Wizmo . It’s free and extremely small and useful.
Download the program and place it anywhere you want (i.e. C:\Windows or whatever). Then you’ll want to create a shortcut to it. In the shortcut, be sure to add the following option to it so that it reads something like this:
"C:\Windows\wizmo.exe" monoff
The monoff option forces the power management of the system to turn off the monitor. You can then use whatever hotkey utility you may have to assign a key-combination to this. I assigned it to my Touchpad “Easy Launcher” settings.
You can assign functions/programs to be launched with the touchpad. I set the left corner as the “Easy Launcher” corner.

You’ll need to “change” the settings of wizmo to add the above parameter.

And be sure to set the left tap area to run Easy Launcher.

Then when you tap on the left corner you’ll get the following…

Tap on the W and it turns off the LCD!
