Sony has unveiled its (I guess another one) native MP3 player NW-HD3 20 Gig. Read the full announcement here:

Also, it looks like the VAIO Pocket VGF-AP1 in Japan will get a firmware update to support MP3 natively (sometime aroud Dec 24th). Good news for groovy!  :wink:

Good news indeed. I also saw the official notice on the UK site too that says the update will be ready in December. The only place I haven’t seen mentioned is the US site.

At any rate, it definitely adds a lot of “value” to the VAIO Pocket although many of these enhancements should have been standard to begin with. It’s not going to change the market at all but they’ll definitely sell a lot more units.

Of course, I’ll have to re-review the product now that they’re doing this. Sucks for me. ;-p

That was me ..

I had a player based on the Creative OS, it kept on freezing and crashing…although I can’t say my iPod is perfect, it’s much better then what I had.

My iPod issues include:

Skipping Random Songs for no reason
Turning on for no reason with the hold on
Display going blank (the menu bar is there, the titles of the songs are invisble)

These three issues appear in several other iPods, so it’s not unique to my unit. This doesn’t happen all the time, it’s just glitches.

They could just make a new color scheme for themselves they’re being so radical in their schemes that they dont see the simplicity… makes Sony’s BLACK and PINK   .. something very new that people would buy because of the fact that it is so out there in a more kid-like way… not ‘out there’ in a “wow thats like something out of a decade old Star Trek… umm… ?kool?” i would buy it :wink:  lol
