Hi,
This will be my firts time leaving the country with the Sony Vaio TR. Going to Europe, Cairo and Dubai. I just wanted to make sure all I need will just be the plug adapter for my power cord to convert it from the standard U.S. to all the different ones I’ll be encountering. No voltage changers or anything like that, right?
The sony adapter should work anywhere in the world (unless there is some country which uses a voltage other than 110 or 220). I’ve used it in India and it worked fine except that I needed the interface since the power outlets there accept round pins and not the flat ones. However, you’ve already mentioned that you have the plug adapter so you should be alright
I have used the iGo juice adapter (it doesn’t power “anything” , but most laptop’s, cell phones and PDA’s? also). However, if you wish to get one of those get the kensington one with retractable cables.
where can i buy that extension cable? is the other end (the one that plug to the adapter) universal in all countries? i m thinking the same too, instead of buying plugs, i’ll just collect the extension cable, but i dunno where to buy them in usa
