Hi everyone,

I cannot run my win xp on my desktop, I was able to run it in safe mode,
I’ve tried using system restore, the system restored but still, every time I try to run in normal, after my desktop appears, I get a message, either some dll file is wrong, or some exe one, and then windows restarts, and it goes in circles…
any advise would be appriciated.
could that be a virus?

If you restored, it’s probably not software. My guess is the hard drive.

I’m actually on safe mode now, but if I try to run it in normal, I’ll get that error and the system will restart automatically.
should I just copy my files to another drive and then re-install win xp?

I’ve managed to restore my pc. I think it’s ok now.
However, another question, how do I remove a program which is already removed but for some reason still present, at least the name, in Add Remove Program menu.

If you try to remove an already removed program from the Add/Remove programs list it will normally pop up a message saying that the program is missing and ask if you want to remove it from the list.
