does anyone know how to edit the “encoded by” line on mp3’s?

i can edit everything but that line.

i know it’s anal, but i just want all my stuff saying the same thing :shock:

Try to right click on the mp3 (in windows) and go to properties. Then summary tab…then advanced.

It’s possible…what mp3 player do you use?

Use WinAmp… When your not listening to it but it is in your playlist editor right-click on it and click on “View File Info”... you can edit the info in there… ID3v1 or ID3v2

Now, if your talking about the stuff in the red box below… I have no clue… sry.

Umm srry I just realized this… ignore the red box.. you can edit the “Encoded by:” line in the ID3v2 form… didn’t see it the first time :oops:

ID3-TagIT is bloody powerful and i use it all the time… using it right now infact!
On the Detailed Information 2 tab on the v2 edit dialog there’s the Encoded By field… change it there, or change all of them en-mass :wink:
