one sure thing, being a sony fan is being a wealthy fan wink
that idea of micro drive is nice but gosh 300$ for 4 gigas i d rather go for an external 1,8” HDD…. ho well just IMO :oops:

Hey what decent 1.8 ’ external HD are you talking about ? the ones lacie make are so expensive .. like about 400 quid for as little as 10 GB i think.

I made my own…I bought a 40GB Hitachi drive and put it in a 1.8” enclosure.

As for the topic…several of their cameras support CF cards…which is the only way I see them justifying this move. If I was in the market for a MD, which I am not, I hated mine, I am not sure if I would take theirs over IBMs.

I wonder if these aren’t just rebranded Hitachi Microdrives, I have a Kingston PCMCIA drive that’s just a rebranded Toshiba and an Iomega that was a rebranded IBM.
