Where are you seeing this? According to Sonystyle.com, it’s not DL. It’s just the UJ-822.

I do know that due to a shortage of UJ-822 drives, Sony was recently bundling the external unit that does have DL capabilities as an option.

My bad. For whatever reason, I thought the original post said S270. The A series uses the 12.5mm models while the S series use 9.5mm models.
