i just got a new model t today in the mail : the t 160p .

so far i am really a huge fan , the performance is amazing .  i just watch kill bill vol. 1 in 720p uncompressed HD video .  and it did it with out a skip !!!!

however i started to feel kinda silly when i could not figure out how to safely insert an ethernet cable into the ethernet port on the side because of fear that i would break the flap / cover .

for all the people out there with model t’s : how does one safely get an ethernet cable into the port without breaking off the flap / cover .

How did you get Kill Bill to play in HD?

hmm. do you mean the space between the modem and ethernet flap /cover ?
I got the flap open though it doesnt seem very sturdy when i have to pull it back and its perpendicular to the base of the computer .  it feels like theres a cheap peice of plastic tethering it to the the computer and if i try to force it to be perpendicular to the computer’s base it will break or something . 

i got kill bill HD to play by using VLC   .  I have to say it is the best video client out there in regards to easy setup/install and compatibility with most every codec out there .  You can run it off a disc so when you are backing up your movies and you have alittle bit of space left on the dvd you can throw vlc on there and play the movie completely off the dvd .

is it just me or i think they’re just fine.  the material is the soft plastic type which doesn’t seem like it’s going to just snap anytime soon.  for my network cables, they just slide in, it doesn’t even click, the only bad thing about this is that someone just pulls it out.  i don’t need to push the tab in to take it out.  so my clumsy big fingers don’t need to push the flap even more more than it is.
