$169 for 512MB

LOL when I first opened the page and noticed the T I was like “Is this supposed to be some kind of a joke? I don’t get it…”
FINALLY Sony has realized what they need to do to get their products to sell a little more… although I would like to either use it in person or read a detailed review… I’m curious about menu’s and organization… that would be a lot of songs to sit there and get to number 266

Well I said it because they said it would be released, and then nothing. A week later they released an Mp3 player that only played ATRAC. So, finally, they released it.
Wow, I just saw the 256MB NW-E75 at Target the other day for $150, $200 for 1GB is great. As far as flash goes I’m pretty happy with my ancient NW-E3 and Music Clip, even though they only support ATRAC. My iPod mini gets a lot of usage both as a music player and a portable hard drive.

Interesting that it’s a SonyStyle “exclusive” and that they really underplayed the MP3. Wonder if they’re trying to ease it into the market so as to not damage Xmas sales of their ATRAC-only players and clear out stocks. If Joe consumer knew, I think the old units would set on the shelves.
[quote author=“tifosiv122”][quote author=“VAIOfreak”]So are you saying that MS90D with 512 of onboard memory cannot use 1 Gig MS Duo?
Correct…No MS-Duo Pro sticks…so nothing over 128. Unless I am mistaken, which is entirely possible.
Erik
It would not make sense than why they would have an MS Duo slot in the player. I did not find anything in its documentation that a 1 Gig of MS Duo stick cannot be used with it.

“Expandable Memory Using MagicGateâ„¢ Memory Stick Duoâ„¢ Technology
The Network Walkman device comes with a Memory Stick Duo media expansion slot that allows you to take along even more music. An optional Memory Stick Duo media is offered in 64MB and 128MB capacity”
Sorry, you didn’t look too hard. If it could take more then 128 they would certainly say so.
Erik
EDIT: even under the compatable accessories they only provide a link to the 64 and 128 chip.
Sorry Eric ,
Totally got screwed on MS Duo and MS Duo Pro! I was under an impression that the MS90S would offer MS Duo PRO!
I cannot believe that some actually pay $400 for this tiny useless toy.
P.S.
I am gonna be taking MS-101 with Sony to figure out the differences between black, blue, red Memory Sticks and whatever they will come up later on.

I agree…I never thought to look and assumed it did as well…then I started realizing they never said anything about pro.
