Wouw i thought i was the last one who had minidisc.. i tried to sell mine… i put it on ebay.. no one even bid on it.. how sad is that.. mp3 killed the MD…
Actually, I still use MiniDisc (and I live in America, probably the worst MD market). I have lots of MDs already so I have a decent investment in the technology. Plus, I recently picked up a MZ-NH1 which accepts the 1GB discs. It’s actually my gym device and portable storage device sometimes. It’s crazy light and all the old discs I have format to 300+MB which is handy.
Oh, I still love the MD. I’ve also been using it for years and don’t think I will ever entirely give up on it.
Glad to hear you are happy with your NH1, gr00vy0ne. I was wondering if it would be worth purchasing one and now I think you gave the final bit to migrate to High-MD. But I think I might wait till some other High-MD models are out…
The thing about mine (MZR-900) is that it aint a net MD means it’s a realtime recording… I have used it alot but now it’s just waitting on a shelf to be picked up…

It’s clearly that everyone’s needs are different. Do you always know when you are going to have sex? Keep in mind that some of us are still in college! I doubt anyone here is carrying them just to be cool..
anyway it a must have in your wallet, just it case, but it s not like we were carrying a full box with us all the time.. that s kind of the impression i get when reading the posts

MDs still rule in some part of this country….There is nothing cooler to get you MD player out (I got Sony MZ-N1) and switch the MDs in and out. With an iPod mini, I noticed there is no such effect on public, because you do not have to get your media in and out. Plus my MD equipped PC helps me organize and play those loud.

Exactly. It was cool when you were 12 to have a condom…now its just needed. Although technically I am out of college, the women still mix in at bars/clubs and tend to be spontaneous. I never want to be caught without one when the time arrises. Even though I have a steady GF, we still use them…at least for now. And for those that say the pill is good enough, well, I was born on the pill…so lets just say I don’t have too much faith…right now, I don’t want to be a father.
Sad to say, in this day and age, you take an extreme risk not using them…its not to be cool, its to be safe. While my sex life is still ‘regular’ and I am not tied down to one person, I will carry one with me, and several in my bag. I promise you, ask most college aged kids, they will have one as well.

Hmm…that’s not contradictory
No…sex and being a parent are 2 different things IMO…one may naturally lead to another, but everytime I have sex it isn’t to have a child. I don’t think this is the correct forum to discuss this in detail, so i’ll be vague…there are other things to use a condom for besides sex…that wouldn’t result in a kid but would protect you from disease.
