as u might know, nowadays we have bluetooth enabled cars, i.e TL, RL, RX330, among others.  is it possible if u have ur TR and stream ur mp3s such that it can be played in your car stereo system?

I would also want to know…I am getting a TL… :drool:

i think it would not possible since TL stereo system can’t play mp3s. but then i dont own TL, i just read from the brochure

One would have nothing to do with the other IMO. It would just weigh on the fact if the BT signal can transmit through the speakers…I am assuming it can because the BT Phone is supposed to do this, right?

I have no clue how these systems actually work, i’ve never had a BT phone so i’ve never looked for that as a feature of a car.

well, they are only two ways to do this

1. stream the files and let the stereo plays the mp3s.  i know for sure that TL stereo system cant play mp3s, therefore it’s not possible
2. play the mp3s in the pc and stream the audio output to the TL.  i dunno if this is do-able.

I doubt #1 would be possible in any car, even if it plays Mp3s. If it plays Mp3s it means the CD player can read Mp3 cds…nothing more.

#2 is what I was talking about. It would technically be just taking any BT signal and sending it through the speakers…so you could stream Mp3s, or any other audio signal you can transmit via BT.

In this case you could do the same thing with a FM Transmitter…

i would rather get an RL if possible. much better car and most importantly, made in japan, 100% japanese made.  TL is american made and american made cars are known to have more trouble than japanese made.

The only thing that bugs me about the TL is the little red side light on the rear fender…it should have been smoked like the front. It’s nothing major, and spray tint can fix it, but it irks me nonetheless.

I had no idea the TL was made in the US, i’d go to a dealership to look, but i’m in domesticville USA

this is why i get frustrated with bluetooth.  the instructions suck the marketing sucks and i’m beginning to wonder if the japanese really want the technology in the states.
