I’m going to raise the price of my TR3A with 1024 MB of DDR SDRAM (Sony OEM module, retail about $400?) plus a Sony Vaio Case made especially FOR the TR series that I paid about $43 brand new and only put my TR in it maybe once or twice to test it, never used it in actual daily use. Comes with the battery and A/C adaptor, plus I recently made a 9-disk recovery set.

New price: $1,410. Shipping is not included this time, and it will be the buyer’s responsibility to pay for insurance. I did have a potential buyer, but that person never responded back. Eventually, if the system still does not sell, I will be listing on ebay.

The deal is no longer exclusive to the forums; I am now offering my system locally for sale.

What kind of a deal are you getting for X505 ($$wise)? If you don’t mind sharing….

I initially listed my Sony TR3A deciding that if I can make a quick sale and use that money to partly finance my X505, then selling for a lower price would be worth the sacrifice. But, since a quick sale has not been established, I no longer have the dire urge to part with my computer too soon (and since I can finance the X505 now without the extra cash from my TR3A), I feel I can go for the higher price if someone is willing to pay for it. Either here, ebay, or locally.

If someone is willing to pay $1400 for a TR2A, then I’m sure there’s someone out there willing to pay slightly higher for a TR3A. :wink:

I used the transaction for the TR2A as a reference of a recent sale for a TR. I know they’ve sold for quite a bit more, or have been offered for a whole lot more, but those were past transactions and some included more with the deal. Here’s a recent ebay auction for a TR3A:

Someone felt a little compelled to purchase for over $1400, but it didn’t even have a case or even an extra 512MB of RAM (mine is official Sony OEM, btw). I’m no longer in any urgent need for the money, but if there’s someone who wants to buy, it would benefit me a little more if I sold at a higher price than keep “begging” for a sale by lowering the price.  :wink:

I’d prefer not to list in ebay because I have so low feedback, and it costs money to list (listing fee plus commission). I hate to put up with that trouble, so it’s a “last resort.”
