hi
does anybody have any recommendations for good video capture programs?
ive tried a few but i havent found “the one” yet
sony’s network smart capture would of been perfect if it could capture at 640x480 and 30fps
so far ive tried…

Blaze Media Pro
Windows Movie Maker

any other good programs out there?

any other good programs out there?

My favorite to use with the sony eye is Nero Vision Express 2, it sees firewire devices as well as usb video devices, which high-end programs like Premier do not. Well, Nero was free for me, it comes with many DVD burners.  Still, you can capture and output to pal, ntsc, mpeg1 and 2,  or DV avi. The quality of the video is limited by the sony eye hardware, but it works.  good luck!

wow, seems like over kill for motion eye! smile but i am interested in comments from anyone using Vegas, ex. if they were once a Premier Pro user.  I am assuming they are close in function - i have just read about it - it is a full featured NLE yes? I have been using Premier for years, but even in the latest version, post-production DVD creation - menu creation/etc. is really lacking. Vegas has not hit nepal yet so can’t try it out :cry:  :D

I just tried Vegas 5 and Easy CD and would have to say Easy CD won hands down. I did’t change any settings but on default model Easy caught many more frames and looked much smoother.

Both captured at 640 size.

I didn’t burn both to a DVD to see how they look on a normal player, but Easy CD was very impressive.

If you compare price, then Easy CD is way in front.

If you want functions then Vegas is in a league of its own.

DVD Architect 2.0 is a great software and much much better than Easy CD.
