[quote author=“Chris687”][quote author=“rich”]wow - sony bulling up their new product…... thats a surprise…
It says OXO on the side of Buses, but that doesn’t make them taste beefy.
mmmmmmmmm beefy….
What?
He’s from the UK, OXO is a brand of beef stock cubes well known there. The rest is easy to figure out. Sony and other manufacturers always play loose with the numbers, my cell phones are always a little larger and heavier than the official stats, my portable device batteries never seem to last quite as long as claimed, even a 1GB Memory Stick Pro only has 949MB free. I did get the advertised 6 hour battery life out of my TR by letting it sit at minimum screen brightness doing nothing, but get half that when it’s in use.
My TR (with extended battery) still gets 8 hours of battery life…but only if it’s closed and only playing MP3s….however, that counts…so they weren’t lying.
I’m sure you’ll find that using your T regularly won’t get you 8 hours either. You’re probably looking at 5-6 hours in reality….which is still darned good.
Ok. With the the screen turned up all the way…and running the sony screen saver that came with the machine…Which is basically a kewl side show of pictures..
I am running very close to 6 hours….Thats very good…I think…
I want to do another test with me using more applications…like surfing the web, playing dvds and such…
with out a doubt…There is a reason for such a large battery on the T…

I haven’t tested, but it seems I’m not getting that good a battery life. Was the 6 hours with WiFi/Bluetooth? Does anybody know how bid a drain these are?
