I finally managed to save enough to splash out on a new laptop, and well for ultraportable there’s only one…...

But what a nightmare, as soon as i’d decided to buy, everywhere in the UK was out of stock and not getting any more as “this is a discontinued item sir”.

Many hours later searching round the UK, i managed to track one down in the Edinburgh branch of PC world, convinced the manager to send it down to the Brighton branch and, happy days my new TR5MP :D

Just one tiny gripe, no one told me how nasty the keyboard was, i guess i’ll get used to it, it’s a small price to pay for packing those features in.

One other thing i miss about my R600, it has this little battery meter taskbar widget, very handy for instant battery appraisal.

Anyone know of a replacement?

There should be battery monitor software that came with your TR… :shock:

No it was like a little bar graph on my toolbar, when i get home i’ll post a picture.

Ahhh, well that might explain it.

The power management’s different on the TR5MP.

No power pannel.

Now have, “VAIO Power Management”, intergrated with the windows power management.
