That seems very pricey….You start with the x505 already at $3000 then you have an external optical drive plus this mouse and who knows what else…

Why Erik why?  I don’t understand….When you are carring alll that stuff doesn’t defeat the purpose of it being light wieght and compact?

The 505 is made for users who don’t need the optical drive all the time. I used my optical drive 10 times, maybe, on my TR.

I don’t think there’s much that Erik doesn’t have :shock:

I rarely use a disc drive so the lack of one in the X was not an issue at all.  When I need to use one I just connect to my desktop via the network.  It’s kinda cool.

I have 6 or 7 networked optical drives…one of my PCs had 4 optical drives at one time (i think it has 3 now).

Thats nice…I bet that makes it a lot easier to live without an optical drive…

Erik….I also don’t use my memory stick reader that much…But, Its nice to have when you have sony digital camera’s that use them…

BTW-  I loved the pictures you took of your x505….I actualy used one of them for my wallpaper

Its the one you took up close of the sony logo….
