amazing how many people are hating on the T just because its the “replacment” for the TR.

Thank you…I feel the same…I just showed my friend today and he was blown away with the looks of it compared against the TR….

He also mentioned the screen looked bigger and clearer….

I thought the same…Can anyone verify this for me….I know the specs say that it the same size 10.6” screen…...But, it just looks bigger and more clear….Also brighter…but that could just because its knew…

I know some of the members on here have mentioned that they have noticed screens dimming as the get older…

it could be because the T is thinner and so the screen looks bigger in comparison.  Ah don’t you love optical illusions

no I was not drunk when I bought it…Actually I am not that much of a fan of alchol to get drunk.

Don’t Worry Chris.  Most of the negatives coming from folks are just the Sony newbies getting used to the short life cycles of their investments.  I got over this years ago (well, mostly). There will be a new one of these in a week or two with a dual layer DVD, etc… and a whole new product in a few months (just speculating) and we will be the ones moaning.  I still miss aspects of my TR, but also like parts of the T better.  There is never a perfect match, but at least with short product life cycles Sony gets to incorporate new nifty technologies more so than most of the competition.  Sorry that a community of Sony fans need to bash one another.  Human nature?  Sad? yes.

More or less, that’s an obvious. 

However, the TR-class notebooks seem to be in a class all their own.  Most people (aside from harddcore geeks like STRW people) don’t realize laptop iteration 1 or 2 of Sony, and considering that the TR (and like ilk) are 25-40% smaller and cuter than most other laptops on the market (ie: Toshiba ‘Media Center’ AKA the Brick) they still enjoy it.  Even if the T’s a replacement for the TR, I still love this thing. (and I really can’t replace it, until it dies or something similarly catastrophic)
