If you’re truly worried about this whole transaction, you should check with your credit card company to make sure they have some sort of fraud protection in the event that something bad happens with this transaction. Most credit cards do have some sort of no-fault protection but you should check.
Occasionally, some places will ask for verification if you have no purchase history. In some cases, it’s a good thing because some companies use it to make sure someone isn’t using stolen credit card information. The one thing you should check is to make sure they don’t charge you until the product ships. If they do then you may want to call your credit card company to have them block the charges.
At any rate, don’t be too impatient. You may want to double check with the company to see if they actually have the product in stock and have sent it. If they give you a shipping number to you can track the package.
